While this Thelwell novel is only one book, it was the first time I had seen it advertised. This may be because I think Thelwell was more commonly known in England.
I would recommend this novel for the cat lovers (as most would see by the cover art) that it deals with the humorous side of owning and caring for a cat. Non cat lovers might get a kick out it as they can count themselves lucky not to be owned by a cat.
All in all, I thought it was a good purchase. Whether or not I will be able to part from it for a member of the family as a gift, that is still undecided.

I've always been a Thelwell enthusiast, and have read all of his books cover to cover. My mother threw out my entire set years ago much to my disappointment, but I have now been able to replace them.
Though not as strong as the horse books it is still fun.
Gift for a cat obsessed friend, she loved it.
Love all Thelwells especially the pony and other animal ones which I can look at over and over and never get too much! This one is no exception.
