The Guilt Free Gourmet 2019 Cooking Guide The Ultimate Low Point Cooking Ingredient and Recipe Guide Daniel Hallak 9781791367053 Books Reviews

  • This Guilt Free Gourmet 2019 Cooking Guide is an amazing undertaking! Not only is it absolutely beautiful with gorgeous photos but one of the most helpful cooking guides I've ever read. This guide is for anyone who wants to eat healthier and live a low fat way of life. His food hacks, oh my, who would of thought it could be so easy AND delicious? Though this was made with Weight Watcher members in mind it's for everyone. Daniel has done such a wonderful job on the layout, the photos and most of all the recipes. Plus he spices it up with his humor which is a delight. I hope someday I get to meet Daniel so I can thank him in person! Looking forward to his next cookbook.
  • I received my cookbook yesterday, and just can’t say enough good things about it! Whether you are a WW member or someone who simply wants to cook and eat healthier, the recipes and tips in this book are amazing. I truly think the author, Daniel Hallak, deserves an award or something ❤️. My mother-in-law was looking through it when it arrived, and now insists that I order one for her! It’s actually a cookbook you will want to just sit and read from cover to cover.
  • I bought this book to be part of a New Year’s gift package for a fellow WWer. We have been following Daniel’s journey for quite a while now and I knew it would be the perfect gift. Needless to say, she loved it!!! The recipe hacks are fantastic!!! The book is vibrant with loads of pictures. I recommend it for anyone doing Freestyle who wants to eat good food without feeling guilty. This is not a deprivation diet; this is a lifetime plan.
  • I have had this less than a week and already tried a few things. I made the breakfast sausage and would definitely make it again. I am going to try the Italian version tomorrow. I also made the yogurt cheese and made it into my traditional dried beef and green onion cheese ball recipe. it was so good and 0 sp for my serving size!
thank you! I am looking forward to new recipes and would like to try the Catalina style dressing in another old family favorite by marinating flank steak in it and then grilling. new but loyal fan!
  • This is an amazing book! I really can't thank you enough!! You have provided incredibly helpful information that will help me create great low-point meals. You've shown be how to be creative and to convert favorite recipes. I'm a lifetime WW member who has followed you on Connect. I can't wait to see your book as you continue to build recipes and master more techniques. I agree that this book is truly your ministry!
  • This amazing cooking guide is a total game changer for anyone following Weight Watchers, or just wanting to learn methods for making many everyday foods, sauces etc point friendly/healthier. Daniel has an engaging manner of writing and relating information, and everything is accompanied by beautiful photos. The recipes themselves are awesome, but they also provide you with the ability to modify them yourself! I've made multiple recipes already in the short time I've owned this cooking guide and all have been fantastic! The chorizo, Italian, breakfast and savory sausages made from ground 99% fat free turkey are just ridiculously good. I made very low fat and insanely delicious nachos using the chorizo recipe the cheese sauce recipe with drained rotel added and fresh veggies over oven crisped ole xtreme tortillas made into homemade chips...off the chart. The sauces are awesome....I love the bechamel and variations of that including alfredo. There is just so much incredible information in here. I'm ordering two additional for family. It's wonderful. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. I'm hoping there are more of these to come with even more recipes and tips. Do yourself and your health a favor....order it....it's truly a game changer! (Note I am not affiliated in anyway with this product other than following weight watchers!)
  • Daniel is one of our favorite health and wellness "coaches" on WW Connect! Many of us who are trying to reduce calories and fats in our diets often wonder how we can do so by tweaking our favorite recipes. All one has to do is find Daniel on WW Connect or purchase his Guiltless Gourmet cookbook to find those tweaks, already worked out, taste-tested, and ready to go! His recipes are healthy and do not require a whole lot of weird ingredients. So far, the only thing we had to go buy was a can of Healthy Request Cheddar Cheese condensed soup and a pouch of instant potato flakes! He gladly shares his recipes on Connect, in fact, WW Connect members can download his recipes for free! But I am a cookbook freak and purchased his book from . Daniel posted a bunch of zero point recipes for Thanksgiving Dinner on Connect, and I was hooked! Thanks for the great cookbook, Daniel! The photos are gorgeous, and my hubby will be doing most of the cooking, and your recipes are not hard at all!
  • Mr Hallak is funny and personable, and he writes about food that isn't fancy its actually something you probably want to make for dinner. His directions are very clear. I've made the breading, 2 ingredient dough, cream cheese, low point crust, the gnocchi, and some of the sauces, mostly with great results. One issue I have with his recipes is that the drastically lower fat and sugar content means they don't keep as well as the regular versions, so a cook probably shouldn't prepare more than her household can eat in a day or two. I made a pumpkin pie with a low point crust using fiber one cereal. It was great on Thanksgiving, but the crust was horrible a day later, even though the filling was still delicious. One improvement I would suggest for future editions is to have a section on streamlining meal preparation. Some parts of the recipes can be prepared ahead of time and stored safely (spice mixtures for ground turkey come to mind). I am grateful to Daniel Hallak for making low points cooking more accessible.
